FDA Clearance Granted to Xeomin - A New Product for Treatment of Facial Wrinkles and Lines
The FDA has approved a new product known as Xeomin® to treat facial wrinkles and lines. Xeomin is a botulinum toxin, like Botox® and Dysport®, that may be used to relax facial wrinkles and lines, elevate the eyebrows, help correct downward turning of the corners of the mouth and improve the appearance of lines in the neck.
Xeomin seems to work a little more quickly than Botox or Dysport but lasts about the same length of time. Some of our patients who have not had as impressive a result as they might like with Botox or Dysport have achieved excellent results with Xeomin. The cost of all three of these drugs is similar.
As is true of all injectable products, a great deal of skill and experience is required to achieve best outcomes with Xeomin. You should only seek treatment from qualified physicians who have been administering injectable rejuvenation agents for many years.
Dr. Biesman has been recognized as a Key Opinion Leader for Xeomin. This means he is one of a select group of physicians who is helping to devise the training materials and standards that will be used across the country to teach other physicians how to achieve best results with Xeomin.
When used in the tiny doses required for facial rejuvenation, Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are extraordinarily safe drugs. Please contact our office for more information or to schedule an appointment for Xeomin treatment.
